Day 2! Blogmas Edition

How I got over colorism

Hello everyone, on this post, I am going to share with you on how I experienced colorism at an early age and how I got over it.

My mother was very encouraging and loving. She always reminded me of how beautiful my dark skin was. I appreciate the fact that she still does it currently. She actually celebrated her birthday yesterday and I was very grateful for it. Her presence in my life has really shaped my thoughts on embracing and loving our differences.

Every time I got bullied in school , my mum would take time to listen to my rants (I was a bad kid lol) and would always make sure that I understood the facets of color, why we are different and helped me embrace the difference.

Kindly drop a comment of something beautiful your mother or any lady has taught you about life.

See you in the comment section.

Thanks for reading. I love you all.

Happy December.
